I’m Maureen MacKenzie, a self-taught painter from the small coastal community of Argyle, Nova Scotia. My work is inspired by the quiet coastal life and everyday beauty that I am so fortunate to be surrounded by. I paint original acrylics and oils, and offer reproductions such as giclée prints, greeting cards, and stickers so you can bring a touch of the maritimes into your home!

Original Paintings

All of my paintings are one of a kind and have been painted with heavy body acrylic or oil based paints. Most are on cotton stretched canvas, with a few on heavy mixed media art paper.

Paintings on canvas are ready to hang with a wire on the back, and have been sealed with a coat of golden varnish to protect against dust, moisture and UV rays.

My prints are reproductions of my paintings, printed by myself on archival velvet fine art paper. I use high quality ultra chrome pigment inks to ensure a vibrant long lasting print.

Greeting Cards

Greeting cards are also reproductions of my paintings and are printed on 230 gsm white card stock. They measure 4.25 x 5.5 inches and include a white envelope (A2).
