I’m Maureen MacKenzie, a self-taught painter from the small coastal community of Argyle, Nova Scotia. My work is inspired by the quiet coastal life and everyday beauty that I am so fortunate to be surrounded by. I paint original acrylics and oils, and offer reproductions such as giclée prints, greeting cards, and stickers so you can bring a touch of the maritimes into your home!

Original Paintings

All of my paintings are one of a kind and have been painted with heavy body acrylic or oil based paints.  Most are on cotton stretched canvas, with a few on heavy mixed media art paper.

Paintings on canvas are ready to hang with a wire on the back, and have been sealed with a coat of golden varnish to protect against dust, moisture and UV rays.

Giclée Prints

My prints are reproductions of my paintings, printed by myself on archival velvet fine art paper.  I use high quality ultra chrome pigment inks to ensure a vibrant long lasting print.

Greeting Cards

Greeting cards are also reproductions of my paintings and are printed on 230 gsm white card stock. They measure 4.25 x 5.5 inches and include a white envelope (A2).

Vinyl Stickers

I have recently added vinyl stickers to my inventory! These are made from durable vinyl with a protective laminate overtop. They are great for notebooks, journals, phone cases, water bottles and even bumperstickers.

Get ready for the Holidays

Its never too early to get ready for the holidays! Check out my Christmas section to see a selection of holiday cards and prints.   Just a few are displayed below.

A personal message can also be added to the inside of your Christmas card, or they can be left blank. A box will pop-up during check-out. Add your message there or leave the box empty for a blank interior.
