I’m Maureen MacKenzie, a self-taught painter from the small coastal community of Argyle, Nova Scotia. My work is inspired simply by the quiet coastal life and everyday beauty that I am so fortunate to be surrounded by. I paint original acrylics and oils, and offer reproductions such as giclée prints, greeting cards, and stickers so you can bring a touch of the maritimes into your home!
Original Paintings
All of my paintings are one of a kind and have been painted with heavy body acrylic or oil based paints. Most are on cotton stretched canvas, with a few on heavy mixed media art paper.
This is an acrylic painting of three well known iconic churches found in Mahone Bay.
This is painted on a 16 × 20 stretched canvas and has 2 coats of varnish to protect against dust, moisture and UV rays. Framing is not required as the sides of the canvas are painted.
Comes ready to hang with wire attached to the back.

Nova Scotia Beach Painting with Sandpipers
Inspired by the rugged coastline of Cape Sable Island in Nova Scotia, this painting captures the rolling waves, black rocks and a flock of sandpipers.
This original painting is on an 16×20 stretched canvas and is painted with heavy body acrylic paints. Two coats of archival varnish have been applied to protect from dust moisture and UV rays.
Comes ready to hang with wire attached at the back
Framing is not required as the sides of the canvas are painted.

Peggy's Cove Lighthouse, Nova Scotia
This original acrylic painting was inspired by a photo taken while visiting Peggy's Cove in my province of Nova Scotia. It is situated along the rugged coastline with breathtaking ocean views.

Giclée Prints
My prints are reproductions of my paintings, printed by myself on archival velvet fine art paper. I use high quality ultra chrome pigment inks to ensure a vibrant long lasting print.
Frames are for visual reference only, and not included.
Greeting Cards
Greeting cards are also reproductions of my paintings and are printed on 230 gsm white card stock. They measure 4.25 x 5.5 inches and include a white envelope (A2).
The inside can be personalized or left blank. The option to add a personal note will pop up during the check-out process.

Vinyl Stickers
I have recently added vinyl stickers to my inventory! These are made from durable vinyl with a protective laminate overtop. They are great for notebooks, journals, phone cases, water bottles and even bumperstickers.
